Hi friends, can any1 suggest me correct power combo for my new Pitts? I am outside USA > I cant make order at TH

I have Edge & Yak already with Tngy 14T motor - not good for windy days and for Pitts i think.

I am looked at this motor - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...er_1900KV.html

What about servos? I dont want use HXT9(5)00 series... is there any better alternative with good centering and smoth movements?

I had the same question and decided to go with Futaba S3114 for everything...
I will give a try with :
dualsky 2812-RTR-33 for motor (had one waiting...),
orange HK for RX,
2S 460 nano-tech

I went with Futaba S3114's on the last two TH foamies all the way around.
Cheap and lots of torque! So far they have performed really well.

I've bought 4 power combos with the servos and never had a problem. So I'll buy them again. Yeah I might experiment with different parts but for my TH planes its the combo from them.

My poor Crack Pitts took another day of abuse. It's been really windy here this weekend, so I was flying my bigger planes. But I felt the need to get some Crack Pitts action, so I took it to the playground. I went through 12 batteries before I had to go home and do a welders repair. Here's a clip from the first battery - it was going to be a tough day for my Pitts.

I was trying to do a knife edge weave through the tether poles, but the wind wasn't going to let that happen.

Wind and welders seem hand in hand at least for me. Had a good morning didn't need any repairs except for a torn hinge.

5 flights last night managed to keep it in one piece including a landing on the car roof on purpose as the peanut gallery was a little loud at the BBQ we were at. Lol. 3 in this morning so far with an inverted landing no damage thqnkfully as I didn't bring the welders to work today. Hahaha. Hoping to get in a few more flights on lunch assuming the wind doesn't kick up to 15mph. Lol.

There will be a small delay since we requested the factory to revise the hub diameter. They should ship early next week.

Got the plane yesterday and it looked great, too good to be left alone! I have all major parts glued together, skipped the landing gear because I have a question. The screw that goes through the wheels should it be free spinning? I actually had to thread the screw through the hub, do I need to drill the hub out to let the wheel spin freely?

Overall it is going together pretty easily.
