Well, mine arrived yesterday and I stayed up late working on it last night. I'm having fun building it... probably two more relaxed nights of building ahead. Hope to maiden it this weekend.

I just lost the o-ring that holds the prop on while i was flying. Luckily i seen where the prop had landed and i was able to set the plane down on the tall hay. After about 15 minutes of looking for a prop in a hay field, I found it. That o-ring lasted about 30 flights. I found a heavy duty one in my home tool box and it holds the prop on tighter. Before i lost the o-ring and prop i could tell something was not right with it. When i was doing fast elevator changes i could hear the prop vibrating. Then it just let loose. I need to buy these little o-rings in bulk. And maybe find an easier to see bright colored prop. I was lucky to find the stock black one in the 3ft tall hay. I really do love flying over it though. I have crashed a number of times and the plane still looks new. Not a crack or bend in it anywhere. I know that if i was flying over the back yard and crashed the plane would not look as good as it does. I keep my grass cut short in the yard.

Don't waste your time with O-rings, see post 240. Do yourself a favor and get the surgical tubing, you'll never use O-rings again.

Eventually got a little time to get started on one of the Crack Pitts tonight, decided not to build the two of them together so if I make a mistake it won't be on both of them.

Got my gear all set up for neutrals and directions, arms on and set up. All wooden parts sanded, holes ca'd then cleared out to suit z bends or quick links. Z bends fitted to rods and quick links fitted in the relevant places. All hinges UHU Por'd on the ends(inside) and a patch of blenderm fitted to strengthen them, already been doubled over and weighted down to loosen. The tail plane is on as is the lower back bone and black gussets. Gona leave it to set for the night now to make sure it stays square before I fit the rudder and elevator servos, the extra bit's of wood and the top fuse. I find it quite ingenious the way Twisted has designed the extra strength in where needed to the existing and proven design of the rest of the Crack series, looking forward to getting the rest done and seeing it come together.

As I sat pondering in the workshop I couldn't help but notice as I cast my eye over my fleet of Twisted foamies that there seems to be something missing.
The Edge is 04, the Crack Yak is 07, the mark 2 Slick is 08 and now the Crack Pitts is 09. I presume previous designs account for 01, 02 and 03 but what happened to 05 and 06? and what do we have in store for 10

I use the latex tubing from Lowes plumbing department. Just over a dollar a foot.

I am hoping to stop by Lowes tomorrow to see if they have any surgical tube. After losing the first one i don't trust them. I was lucky to find my prop when it went flying off. I am also going to place an order for a couple more props.

If it will fit I think many put on two "O"-rings or rings from surgical tube. Especially if they do a lot of violent stunts.
