Nice. It must be difficult to align the two cameras. Also the wings must flex a little. Do they misalign if they flex?

On this new video I worked hard to improve the stereoscopic alignment between the left and right eye. I had to do some corner pin correction in After Effects, but have it dialed in now. Just wish the Fuji W3 was a bit higher res. I am thinking about the 3D GoPro setup.

ok get your goggles on...

Tree Trimming - Fuji W3 3D FPV GU-INS Quadcopter flight (5 min 32 sec)

My flying still has a bit of dialing in to do :-)

I align the camera by simply look at object far away with my goggle, Isimply align the two camera while looking in the goggle

About the flex of the wing that could misalign the two cameras, I never notice it, but perhaps you would notice my eyes one moving up while the other move down when I fly 3D

Just post it here when you get one.

I found this 3D GoPro video on YouTube. It is not mine...

3D Footage from above - GoPro2 3D - Gaui 500x - DJI Wookong-M (2 min 47 sec)

I like the video quality compared to the Fuji but the stereo is less deep due to closer lens spacing. I do not like the barrel distortion. I am sure some of that could be corrected in post. Nice to see others shooting stereo.

Hey Captain3D! Nice vids! I also bought 2 of the same cameras so I can make my own 3D videos, but I haven't tried it yet. My main concern is how to watch it without red/blue glasses? I mean, not everyone have such stuff. Eye-crossing method also doesn't work for all people - me can't do it with the screen =(

I just bought an LG D2342P. It is a low cost 23" computer monitor ($220) that uses passive polarized glasses and also works as a normal 2D monitor of course. I would recommend buying a monitor like this if you are interested in 3D video.

I do not like active shutter glasses my self.

If you are quick there is a one day sale today on a HP 3D monitor for $199...

Red/Cyan glasses are the easiest way for every one to see 3D as they work on any monitor and can be bought cheaply. In youtube set the 3D viewing method to Red/Cyan (or other colors if you have different glasses) and change the color setting to 'Optimized (Dubois). If the 3D looks 'bad' try 'swapping eyes' or swaping your glasses over. Normally red is left.

ok one more before bed...

3D CAM FPV - Transmitted Video (1 min 54 sec)

This is not the Fuji W3 camera but a dv recording of the 3D FPV Cam I see through while flying. Naturally it is lower res.

I have uploaded this in 1080p to try and keep as much resolution as possible. If you set it to at least 720p but do not go full screen it is almost a fair representation of the live view I see but I must have done something wrong with the frame rate as it is not as smooth as it should be. Also the compression is taking away 30% of the detail.

The 3D CAM FPV is made by EMR labs and is the only camera I know that can provide stereoscopic, interlaced video for FPV flying.

I have just ordered the 3D Gopro kit so lots more to see coming soon.

I got the GoPro 3D kit, but initial test shows rolling shutter jello to be a disaster for 3D. Need to do more testing. Will post some results as I go.
