My other 4 tosses were all in the 4-5 minute range. Caught this one just right, as the sun was playing hide 'n seek with the building clouds.

Let's see, if I can continue increasing my time 11 minutes a day,
by the end of the month ......

Perfect Day with light 5-8 MPH wind and tons of sunshine and lift off the school parking lots and flat roof.

Hooked a ride with a Turkey Vulture who showed me where the thermal was. Just followed him up the elevator. Plane specked-out. Thought I was going to loose it for a minute or two. Flight could have been even longer but I had company at home and couldn't linger at the field. Bummer....

Best Day

Thanks,

It was a personal best for me with a 2M. I'm used to flying bigger sailplanes. 110" and up. It was one of those days when a blind man could have found lift. Following the big Turkey Vulture made it easy. I've read about it, but I never had that happen to me before. Thanks,

Paul M.

Does anyone object to adding a hand launch class next month?

I had a request from a DLG flier.

Hand launch sounds good to me.

Glad you bumped the thread. Reminds me I've got a time to post from yesterday. I better get on that.

Oh boy....I sure hope my DLG kit gets here soon

I'm looking forward to next month - not only will I get to post some super short flight times for DLG but I'll get to challenge 320pilot with an open class ship!

I just got a blaster 2 second hand which has wing damaged and repaired, got it to see if I like dlg and I really DO. So a dlg class would be great.
I got my first good time with it today - 10 mins.
What a fantastic feeling it is throwing yr plane and finding a thermal in time to go up in it, hell just throwing it and catching is fun and challenging.
I think my technique needs work cause I only get just under 1 min flights in dead air, less if its windy without lift.

Not a stellar flight or in contention, but I'm throwing it in the pot anyhow.

Well, you caught some great lift there! Look how steep that climb is in the thermal.

Gonna have to get myself a dlg one of these days. Sounds like a lot of fun. Even more trouble free than electrics.
