Thanks everyone. By the way, my time is off the Futaba 8FG timer. Andy, I corrected for temperature and altitude on the RAM data. From motor off to highest point it climbed 1780 feet.

One interesting observation, when I finally landed the Pulsar, the fuse was noticeably cold to touch. as though it had been in a fridge. I have never felt that before.

If I had a spotter, to encourage me to keep it high, (and a lawn chair) I could have stayed up longer..lots of lift.

Great time and quite an astonishing climb rate. It will take a lot more practice for me to get comfortable enough to try for 3000 ft or more.

Thanks for the video, looks like hotliners could become quite addictive.

This is a personal best for me and the Radian! It was one of those rare perfect flying days here in MN.
I spiraled down multiple times to keep it in sight and kept finding new lift for another ride up.

Wow! Congratulations on your personal best time. I can't wait until I get my first hour plus flight!

I saw on the Radian thread that you had made the Naton mod. It really does make a difference, doesn't it?

It sure does - thanks! I've been following your "discussions" concerning the mod... the modifications turned a really good flier into a great flier!

Yesterday evening was pretty calm and full of very persistent light-moderate lift just to the north of my field. Nice to put-in a flight under such peaceful conditions.

I hope to get another flight or two in by the end of the month, but that may not be possible.

Hey Andy, I finally crammed my telemetry unit into my Radian and hooked it up to my thermal scout. Very interesting flying. Usually I just turned it on briefly to confirm lift but now I can leave it on and see what's out there. Turns out I was missing lots of small thermals. Tough to work with the Radian but will try with my dlg.

Gave it a shot this afternoon but when I got to the field it became breezy and the thermals were all busted up and scattered. Lots of heavy lift and heavy sink.

I probably should have gone out earlier in the morning, as it started off cool and calm, warming throughout the morning to near 90 degrees at 1pm when I went out to fly.

I think there was little temperature differential after that, and the breeze was an onshore flow off the Gulf toward the land.

Longest flight was about 4.5 minutes....

Not so great, but still better than workin'

You are right about that!

Gatorlynch - 16:43 is a nice flight, I'll take those anyday.

I flew today but there was no way I was going to fly a glider...15mph+ winds are no fun with a RE foamy.

Flew yesterday with the Big Purple Pulsar. not much of a flight, strong wind aloft. I circled over some ridgelines, looking for lift but didn't find much. Stretched a 16 second climb to 20 minutes 20 seconds in the air.
