Dude, this is a beautiful plane you got going. Not a speedy kind of guy but I can appreciate the craftsmanship and shear awesomeness of your 100 incher. I wish you the best and will be watching as it progresses.

Drag 'chute, eh? Very best of luck on that one... I tried one a LONG time ago and errrrr well, it was a novelty and it did look cool but one HAD to get the approach right 'cos once you stream it etc etc.

Equally, I have a 2m twist wing thing and have no probs landing it but then the club I fly with is blessed with a lovely slope that has a huge landing area.

Wow - that's gorgeous and a bit scary at the same time! Would love to see it fly, but I wouldn't be volunteering for the first landing if you go no airbrakes.

Lovely looker- reminds me of my Needle. I hope the wing rod system works, it looks like a massive load there, but obviously know your way round a workshop from the quality of the build. Video of the maiden please.

I pulled the hardware out of the fuse last night so I took some shots of the twisty hardware. The MKS servos should do the job nicely. Zero slop when powered up.

Also, I hate horizontals that flop around so I came up with a way of threading the tail rod into the vertical. The hardware is one of those DIY RCA jacks that screw together. I use the knurled female side & epoxy that into a plywood hard point in the vertical. The male threaded part is a TV cable connecter with the center drilled out.

Hopefully I'll get to maiden it this weak.

Looks very nice!! I've still got my original Brian McLaine 90" Vector!! That plane ROCKS!! I'm sure your's will too---landing is no problem if you have PATIENCE!! Give it time and room to slow down--it will! Love to see one up close!! Nice job!!

Wait, so it's a pitcheron, but also has a flying tail? If that's the case, could you use a combination of "up elevator" on the pitcheron and (opposite?) elevator on the tail to slow the plane down?

Do'h...nevermind, I just realized the tail doesn't actually move.

We maidened the Ineretia's last weekend at the MWSC. Jim & I launched at the same time & we ripped it up pretty good in 20 to 30 mph winds straight up the hill. Everything held together... whew... What really surprised me was how lofty the foil was. I could climb out really well & do some pretty big maneuvers without loosing much energy. It rolls pretty axial if you keep your thumb off the elevator. It carved it up pretty big.

Landing was a non event, maybe a little hot on mine, but nothing major. It slows down pretty well. Jim discovered the next day a really good way to loose some altitude. He was parked up top inverted & started throwing in full aileron input back & forth as fast as he could. It just started waggling like a fish & the drag produced with the wings going into high alpha really slowed it down & it dropped altitude at the same time. He did this on for his landing approach & backed it right into the landing zone.

I think someone might have taken some video.
