As they used to say at General Dynamics, "We lose a little on each part, but we make it up in VOLUME!"

Similar economics used in building a 40" model of a 63' CC.......

Yeh,some guy (a volume buyer) convinced him that he had to drop the price more since the mellons didn't come with seeds.
Retired gov't. worker (misnomer) 42 years old, with a grant to start a "green farm". Sep. grant money used (1.2 Million) to purchase 2 RR tank cars of "green friendly" "green paint".
Farm can be seen from space. Looks like 1/3 of a traffic light.

It's GENETIC,and there is so much emphisis on looking past morality and holding to the highest ethical standards. Ethical standards can be changed weekly. Some times by less than moral people.

Had I used the eight piece deck supplied by Sterling, the hull would have had its final sanding and shape by now. Making the deck as I did, in two pieces, made me wait till the deck was permanently attached to fine tune the hull shape.
I do have a question for you boat aficionados. Does the end of the keel taper down and precisely conform to the shape of the transom? That doesn't seem likely to me. Or does the end of the keel remain the same distance below the transom and slightly rounded, or tapered?
On another subject, I am rapidly learning to enjoy(that's a lie), the art of finishing and polishing propellers.

I wouldnt think the trailing edge of the keel would be a fine edge ...

Careful grinding those heavy metal props, the dust can reduce your time above the surface !

Use a mask.

Tim thanks , I knew about the danger. Nevertheless, it's good to post that warning whenever the subject is brought up.( grinding / sanding Berylium Copper) Could save someone some grief.

Great job on the transom. Great color and finish. The keel needs to stay just as you have it now. Second the thought about sanding berylium. The sanding dust is very toxic.
