Barring any natural disasters........I'M B ACK !!!

If it is necessary, I'll refresh everybodys memory. (It will be for Pete.)

Back on August 22nd, # 424 I discovered a discrepancy between kit and full scale. A discussion insued (plus the normal and abnormal OT subjects). #442 I started to see the solution. Note on 442 I thought I needed to cut H-5 A and H-5 straight. As it turns out, I need to "build up" H-5 A and H-5, straight to its highest point. At this point I realized I needed to build the lower cabin. This was necessary so I could locate and mark the deck for cutting using ther windsheild for a guide. Also see # 463.

It became apparent to me that I had to fabricate a new former to be put between H-5 A and H-4. Hence, H-4.5 was born.

On # 484 Pete finally gave his blessings to my observations.

Then on #498 I saw something else of interest. The full scale design beveled both ends of the now flat panel inside the windsheild. This was necessary so as not to impinge on the side windows and frames. It turns out, on this model it is also necessary. See pictures below for the progress.
Fully re-charged and rarin to go

Pic # 1,2,3,4,5, all show how the last former H-5A (before the engine room) forms an arc.[that's NOT the way it's aposed ta be]That is ok for the deck profile, but not the panel inside .(behind the wind shield)
Comprende ?

And you think what I do is crazy. You sure have taken it over the top to correct this. Not many would have gone to all the trouble for this fix. Well done.
