I like the lowest profile too.

I once had a toilet seat that looked much like that. Of course without the shreader bars.

Two smart policies:

1. Never take you keys out of your pocket while standing on a storm drain grating

2. Never spend time below an open deck skylight when Pops is aboard your boat ...

What about ClassicBoats (Barry up in BC)??

He made all his fittings for his 63' MY via CAD and hard specialist jewelers' waxes. Maybe you could chat with him, OBW, and see if he can help. His work-up on the Front Deck Metal Hatch Fittings starts here (post460).

This build was buried 5 pages deep. Shouldn't we be putting the hammer on "Oh By The Way" by now?

POPS strikes again, with brutal honesty

Actually ,I have allowed myself to be distracted by two areas that are NOT needed now.#1 brass hatch covers,#2 vent/control duct from bridge to eng. room.
Back to the "schedule".

All in good fun "Friend."

I should talk.... I'm not even allowed in the basement shop until I learn how to operate my garden tractor.

I confess ,I have been puttering (maybe even sputtering)
Cleaning up a couple of loose ends, restoring a rocking chair, making a footstool for a expecting new mom.(one day past her due date) I need to have it finished so she can rock the new addition to their family. Hanging a "WET PAINT" sign on it will not be acceptable.
Almost finished the control/vent duct (will be a functional vent) .
Mahogony window frames for lower windshield in place . To much tape to show those pics.
Getting back in the swing of things,I promise.

There is something to be said for being married to your Highschool sweetheart. No ex wives. Glad you are getting back to work on the boat again. I took some time off too and built a small table for a benchtop spray booth.
