Mike

ps: Ren's planes are top notch. Ken was kind enough to let my fly his 1-26 at Los Banos and it was a blast. Can't go wrong with one of those!

Sub'd!

I'm in the market for the same thing as you. Would love to get a nice scale plane like a salto with F3F style/strength wings.

Just read the write up in Fly RC mag for the Discus 2 CT 3.3M.
I've had few Graup/ Tangent gliders and really do like them a lot!
Hold up well to rough landings and very aerobatic!

I ws actually impressed by the looks of the Foka 4 http://www.valentamodel.cz/53a.htm
I had this 3 m FOKA 4 and I cant reccomend it. Model has very thin tips of wings and has big tendency to fall in spin. You can see it here:

Hello Midgae, I presume this is the Valenta Foka? I had found this video, it certainly looks nice. I appreciate the warning and will remove this plane from the list.

Is anyone familiar with these?

I know they make a 2.55M Fox which is listed elsewhere in the site. The 3M looks new?

They also have a Foka: http://www.modellstudio.cz/index.php...i_detail&id=55

Hi Greg,

Maybe some of the others can chime in about these....

http://stores.ebay.de/Rc-Tronics-Topp-Rippin

As I understand it Topp-Rippin is Germany's oldest Fiberglass model producer. At least I think I read that somewhere.

I ordered their Fiat G-55 and have a friend working on scale details of the wing before I get to it. But that's a different story.

I ordered off of Ebay and then waited for shipping from German DHL to USPS but I got a very nice model.

I'm sure others here can tell you about specific Topp-Rippin kits.

Hope this helps.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the lead. I will check it out.

By the way, I grew up just down the road in Grand Blanc!

Hey Greg,

I was just in Grand Blanc today at the IMAX to see the Avengers. Holly Rd...

The G-55 is built like a glider in that they used a foam care wing with obichi wood skin.

You will need to be handy with building as none of the alignments or other plug and play bits you get with today's laser cut kits are done for you.

Not hard, and it sounds like that's the kind of thing you were looking for.

Have fun and let us know what you decide on.

Do you know if this guy uses the Rosenthal fuses and makes kits with wings out of them?
