I am really learning to appreciate styrene, from watching this build!

I am sorry, they came in yesterday and I meant to tell you but I forgot when I got back home. They are very nice, thanks very much.

I know there not much but you can always make copies or improve on them. That is one of those details you don't see too often on model PTs but were needed to reload and tension the 20mm mags.

Ready Service Lockers

I decided to try an make some simulated latches for the 20mm ready service lockers. I'm not certain right now whether I will keep these or not but they are better than just blocks of styrene.

What PT boat # are you doing, maybe I will have a photo of it. On the last boats made ,I have seen the 20mm mags located on the storage/ready box between the 20mm and the chartroom. Each boat will at least one mount but sometimes up to three mounts on one ready box, it depends on your exact boat.

I have the book on the plastic model of the 596. I have been using the information in those photos.

If it is the Italeri kit, on page 19 of that book you should see that the 596 boat had three mags on their ready box.

It is the book by T. Garth Connelly. The photos show the mags on top of the box but they seem to sit flush to the top of the box.
