Question
FlySky 9x Which failsafe receiver?

Hi, can someone please help me understand this. I'm used to 2/3 channel plug and play transmitters but now I'm getting into fpv.
So, here I am waiting for my FS-TH9X-B radio to arrive and trying to learn what i can about it. In doing so i find there is no failsafe as standard. (correct me if I'm wrong)

OK, lets order one! ah but which one? I cant quite seem to find out which receivers with failsafe are compatible with it as standard.

These are my Qs
1. Which receivers can i buy with failsafe and will work with the original transmitter?
2, Or do i need to upgrade the module as well in order to get a failsafe receiver.
3. Do i need to upgrade the module to use telemetry receivers. ( I would only need/want to know signal strength RSSI )

I have read alot about these 9x radios but i cant find a simple answer to this. Maybe its information overload I'm suffering from lol.

You need to buy a module/Rx that has telemetry such as this.

Module: http://www.alofthobbies.com/jr-trans...ry-module.html

Rx (out of stock here): http://www.alofthobbies.com/frsky-d8...telemetry.html

There are other brands that you can use. If you flash the 9X with one of the many custom firmware options you can have the telemetry data on the screen however there is some soldering involved.

I suggest you start reading here, everything you need to know is available and you will have tremendous support from other members: http://9xforums.com/forum/

The 9x radio uses a FlySky module. This works only with FlySky receivers, none of which provides fail safe.

To get fail safe, you need to buy an FrSky DJT module and suitable receiver, such as V8R4 for non-telemetry.

The same module will work with FrSky telemetry receivers, such as D6FR.
