OMGFLY Frame Owners Group: ATG L600-X4, ATG600-CRP, , ATG700-AL

Okay guys I ordered the ATG600-CRP last night so I figured I would make a place for us to discuss the frame. Many of the other threads about OMG FLY were started by the shop or people with 1 - 10 posts and new members.

So I will try and create an unbiased mini-review with pictures and my experience with OMGFLY.

This is a new contendor in the multirotor frame market and they got me to move away from my beloved Y-6 frame design to a X6 flat hex!

Price:
$79.50
here is a link to the frame
http://www.omgfly.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=381

limited specs:
Diagonal wheelbase about 625MM
Motor: 2208/2212/2216 series of product 880-1000KV Quantity: 6
ESC :10-30A
Propeller:8-12-inch multi-axis-specific positive and negative paddle

(I will add more when i get it and can measure it)

anyone else buy it?

another thread from someone who bought it (although with very little time here or post count)

i think i am going to chop down the landing gear and use them on my Sport Y-6 that I just bought a KK board for. Currently it is flying a HFpro board as a test rig with Turnigy 2830s on 4s.....

they LG assambly looks good enough..... but since my gimbals have their own LG on them i wont be needing them!

I am interested to see how durable the clips that hold the booms are and how easy it is to fold up....

12mm booms are a little small but since it is a X6 and not a Y-6 that will be a lot less weight per arm so I am sure that the 12mm booms will be fine with weight of the 2814s and the MKTR is fairly light .... so is the nex

so as long as the frame is stiff it should work well.

Which KK board? I'm looking for a reliable vendor.

i got mine from BambuCopter

i think they are in the EU but it should only be a week or so..... and I am not in a hurry. Too many things to build at the moment anyway... plus I need to go FLY!

That the same one I was talking too last night. Be sure to get that adapter too. I found him to be the most responsive.
Good choice (at least on my side). However, I've asked him a question twice and he doesn't answer me. I asked him if he would upload the board with the latest firmware before shipping it to me, and no reply...

BambUcCopter is not a KK, it's multiwii.
You're mixing up the vendor and the board.

Let's start again. Do you mean this?

Oh, you went for the "Cheap" one? I thought you would use the more advanced one.

Then no adapter!

Check out the bottom table for comparison:

.... i dont know anything about KK..... i just wanted something with gyros only that I could use to throw my small Y-6 around. No AP or anything, just chasing planes and trying my first flip and such

i though the black board was a good choice.... no?
