If you have an interest to participate at the World championship you can contact them to request your local rules for nomination. In many countries this is selection contests but it is also possible to nominate participants by any other way. The only must: every competitor must be nominated by his National Airsport Control (NAC). Maximum number of competitors nominated by each country is 3 senior + 1 junior (juniors might also be nominated as senior so max. 4 Juniors are allowed if no senior is nominated).

It would be perfect, if every country who has the intention to nominate pilots for the World Championship could send the filled form in advance:

at 02.02.2013 to 09.02.2013 the first FAI Worlchampionship for Aerobatic Model Aircraft Indoor F3P will take place in Germany. The National Aerclubs from:

Netherlands

Canada
Poland
Switzerland

already announced their interest in sending teams for the competition. We spread attached information over the information network of FAI but only a few of the National Aero Clubs answered by the letter of interest. Due to the short organization time available until the competition, I would like to ask you for your support.

Could you please forward this message and the attachments to the pilots out of countries that are not listed above to get them being aware of the competition. Maybe they can contact their National Aero Clubs about the status of the plannings / available information’s.

Coming from both sides (top down and button up) might be successful in getting things going on. I would like to avoid that someone misses the contest due to some lack in the information flow.

AFAIK, there hasn't even been an FAI F3P competition in the USA yet. So how would you determine the pilots?

The last CZ F3P Championship has been in 2011. Indoor Aerobatics obviously isn't as popular there anymore, as it once was.

Yes that is what I had heard as well. There was plenty of interest from the USA. All of us were told it was far too late.

actual Status is interest of 49 Pilots (8 juniors) from 14 nations (including now cz).

Regarding nomination: this belongs to the national aero clubs and the rules they define. So everybody who is interested - read your national rules and talk to the responsibles, if special solution is needed. Some countries simply pick the pilots by hand others have contests for nomination - all this is pending on the defined rules in every country and the will to participate. Solutions can be found in any case. Time for that is still available. No names are nominated to us yet - everything is pending on the next bulletin that will include the form for pilots nomination.

Quick question regarding the ABR FAI document.
$B.17.1 : maximuim 3 models can be registred per pilots.
Does this include AM planes ?
So 2 pattern + 1 AM planes or 1 + 2 (or 3 + 0) ?
Or 3 pattern and 3 AM planes ?

no, this is only linked to F3P AP and AF (official FAI-Worldchampionship)

AfM will be an International Contest where (according to actual plannings) best 50% of the Worldchampionship will be qualified.

Bulletin 1 is actual under prepartion and will be published as soon as it is confirmed by the FAI.

It's all in the FAI Sporting Code Section 4 – Aeromodelling Volume F3 Radio Control Aerobatics.

See 5.9.9: Top 20% of the total number of competitors. (i.e. if 49 pilots would participate, the top ten would be in the finals).

P.S.: Unless there is a change in the Sporting Code from 2012 to 2013, i.e. you can never be 100% sure.
P.P.S.: I was much more generous at the EIAC: 12 out of 30 = Top 40%.

The french F3P commission made a proposal :
The top 25% (twenty five percent) of the classified pilots with a minimum of ten (10) will have three (3) additional flights.
