They call Tam the Maseter....It must be something I can do.

Really it the kit was so easy to built. Everyting goes together quickly.
Funny I didn't look the manual at all until time to CG.
Charging batteries right now and give a run test.

Turbine goes to be challenging. First the small bifurcated pipe is hard to made.
Second is how to get to balance.

It's a pity Eflite didnt do an A-4 instead. But I suppose the scale would make it pretty small compared to the Phantom. I climbed all over a privately owned phantom in Palm Springs. What a giant in real life and must have been a buzz watching it grab a line on a carrier.

No wonder they called the A-4 the "Scooter" tiny in comparison.

The fuse are lay-up heavy. So I had to watch the weight.
I'm thinking do the low amps 8s set up to run 3300mah pack fly it first to dial her in. Than drop in the P-20 when the pipe are first.
I do have 10S 2000mah 'brick" packs which we use for F5B gliders(160 amps) . They measure 40x45x155mm and weighs in at 585 grams. Might be perfect for a light weight "speed" F4 on 10s. Come to think of it you could also make a 12S from the same cells that would fit the F4 pretty easily too.

I got to climb around one in the Pacific Avaition Museum. Yeah, it's huge.

Here's what's going in ours (delivery delayed )....Our Mach ALLL ALLOY 80mm edf. (either on 6 or 8s)

Should have a really nice sound (and power to boot)
Setups for 6s and up available.

The same fan is in one of our Habus. Only this one (fh64lucky's) is faster than we plan for the F-4.

Habu 32 - 159 mph top speed by fh64lucky (2 min 57 sec)

Ho Bob,
Thanks for sharing the information.
Yeah, it was in Oahu (Pearl Harbor) when I saw it in the restoration hanger at the the museum.
It was a private tour (just my wife and I), and a docent. This was a seperate bldg from the museum. Lots of resto work going on, and we would just walk through the shop with the docent explaining each build. There was about 10 jets and helis in there as well as a few others. Great experience with a very knowedgeable docent.
We toured the main museum as well. My photos were taken in 2010.

The tower is not the original.(it's the one they built for Tora, Tora, Tora )
F-15 # 063 is the newest jet they had in 2010

There was a model turbine Jet rally there in 2011, but we were not there.

I read that some plan on using a CC pro BEC, but haven't read about anyone using a LiFe to power the receiver. Isn't that the preferred way to go?
