I am going pretty much stock except for cc esc & pro bec.
I got as far as mounting the ail servos and flaps and ran into a problem. I mounted my wood blocks a slight bit low and the ail servos bumped into the mounting wood in the wing. So I have do a bit of trimming or put washers on to raise the servo up a bit. ![]() Just wanted to give you guys a heads up. |

Busy times. Mods for the fan, retracts, struts and wheels. New plate for the elevator and rudder servo so they are not sitting on the exhaust. The exhaust chokes down immediately after the fan. I'll make a small mod here as well. Not crazy about the stock wheels.
I'll be building this one so the TJ80 (first) and P-20 are interchangible. Plenty of room for batteries. 8S no problem, we'll start here and go from there. I'll let you guys do the main build and I'll share the mods I make. It will be flying on Sunday. I'll post some video of the flight. Tam |

F-4 Build
Hey Y'all
In the Jan 2012 issue of FlyRC, Frank Tiano wrote an article on the F-4. Things he recommends are: Put 3 oz of shot with epoxy in the tail cone. That moves the CG to the aft limit. He said the airplane flew like a completely different/much better with the CG aft. 2. Put some epoxy on the servo tray that holds the rudder and elevator servos. His popped loose once. 3.. He moved the elevator servo 1/4" to make it easier to get to the servo mounting screws. 4. He used longer 8-32 screws that were twice as long for wing spar screws, not the metric screws provided. He says it makes them easier to get to. Check 6, Joe T |

The nose strut is ready. The main I had to make new bottom piece. The one I had for Habu are too long. I'll post some of my mod tonight. Since I'm TJ80 with 36mm motor. The stock exhaust choke down right after the fan. This choke the FSA very bad for 36mm motor center body. IT work fine for stock 28mm. But for 36mm motor need to open that up. I e mylar to the do the mod and it easy mod. |
