No wonder even the crashes of a turbine model look scale. All that fuel right next to a smokin hot motor.

I can't see a turbine in my hangar for quite a while yet.

Sorry to see you put the first one in so soon. Been there done that. This last winter I lost the right motor on my P-38 not long after take off.

It sounded just like yours did. I later found out one of the motor side bullit plus was cold soldered.

It also landed in sloppy wet ground but not anywhere near as bad as yours.

Sorry to said this. That is the most safe place for fuel cell. It got a lot shell around it to protect the tank when impact. The turbine front cold and rear is hot.

No doubt about it Tam, you do nice work.

I gave turbines serious thought. Went to one event and that turned me off them totally. The stink of unburnt fuel, having it in the car with me etc. Having to store significant amounts of fuel. I'll pass thanks. No thanks

Tam keep up the works for us EDF guys

Servos used: HS 85mg for all but the Elevator. There I used a HS-225mg. It's close to the recomended specs. It's 67 oz./in. Torque at 6v. I have my BEC Pro set to 6v.

If anyone really thinks it's not up to par, tell me.

100a CC Ice, CC BEC Pro wire to main battery.

AUW with a HP 3s x 2 5000mah 35c is 6.8lbs.

Oh, rudder & front steering are seperate.

Couple of questions for you,
How did you maiden already if you just built it ?

We have the same setup , I use 1100mah 2s life instead of bec and nano tech 6s 5000mah 35c - 786 grams
Yours 428 grams each x 2 = 856 grams,
Looked at your pics and can't figure out how you shaved off 1/4 lbs of weight with the same setup as everyone else. And I hope you didn't fly without some wire management , I'd be scared something will come loose and get caught in something.

Looked at your posts in other threads , you got this plane last Thursday , most likely at action hobbies, then you post here that it's built , I private message you and you say you maidened it last week. Sorry dude , but I'm calling you out, on your maiden and AUW .

Well i must but in i got mine last thursday stayed up untill was rtf could have maiden on friday but waited on better weither and did it sunday. Everyone has seen my video and i must say mine also is under 7lbs around 6.8 6.9 auw......using hyperion 6s 5000 mah pac all stock eflight 80 amp ecs. Ect.
