Muddy mess....

Here is how muddy it is.
Sean already going full towel roll and the inside still look like this.
I should take a pictures before he was cleaning.

The wing completely done gone. The water soak total destroy it.
Hope the stabs be alright.
Taking a part and goes through what is left.
From the look of it.
Maybe just some servo didn't get wet and the fan housing can be use again.
The rest of the electrical is going to trash can.

Your best bet is to get a tub of rubbing alcohol and just dunk the parts in it. (not batts of course). Then blow dry with compressed air and leave to dry for a few days and it should be fine.
Electronics are usually fine if they are not powered back up until they are dry.

Mike,
I able save all the servos.
The RX still work.
But I wouldn't put back the F-4. Save it for foamie airplane.

Here is the lost.
Motor is gone.
Rotor is gone.
ESC send back for service.
BEC Pro soak and short out.
Lipo soak and completely dead.
Nose and one main retract is gone.

The cause for the problem the motor wire got short and burn out.

Right at the end the wiring.
This old motor had 100 hundred of flight and been in out many time in three different Habu 32.
So it can be over time wiring moving around and pull in out enough to open the wire cover to short.

Here is our boy been so good cleaning my mess.
He can't wait to get stick time on my second F-4.
Sunday he got so sad and cry with mom when get home.
Daddy broke both airplanes and I did't get to fly.

Nothing goes stop me now.
Working on the turbine conversion and this what I got so far.
Remove the front former to fit a pair of 10 oz each side fuel tank and it is right on the CG.
I be using 4oz airtrap tank in the front of the ducting. So all the fuel be right on the C.G.
Making new former to mount the turbine and bifurcated pipe.
The bifurcated pipe be done tomorrow night.
