Don't give up yet Phil. Those vids were shot with the props spinning in. In an act of desperation switched them to rotating outward.
Big improvement except for the GPS speed reading that still has me baffled

The props are X447 and X447R but was only running 5s this outing. CG was at about 31% and timing set at 7.5 degrees to play it safe since I'm not sure if they are Y or D winds.

After parking my Falcon early early grabbed the 5s packs from it to make one last run on the Cheetah today. It wound up being pretty short lived as well.

Bill the last vid is a big improvement it looks to me like you can go bigger on props now i think you can try x447's (may have to cut ears to reduce lift but worth trying first)
we have found running a stinger setup the props don;t get as much "bite" because the sponsons part the water so theres a bit less in the water at speed

EDIT :- just seen your last post not sure about props now i am running the same motors in my 41" falcon its maxing out at 64 - 65 mph with x447's with very little hull in the water at full speed ,

whats the running weight with 2 x 6s packs ?

Have you tried props outward, stingers at zero, COG back as far as you can get it?

Hull with all hardware & hatch was 7 lbs 10 oz.
The pair of 5s 5000's I used today weigh 3 lbs 2 oz so... 10 lbs 12 oz or 4.9 kg.

1st run was with the stingers at 0 and 31% cg. 2 nd was with all the up I could get into them with 1.5 oz lead in the tail. Probably dropped it to 30 %.

Third vid I tried spinning them out instead of in and that loosened it up. Actually I did that (off camera) prior to the vid and blew it over before removing the lead that was added on run two.

Was the outward prop run with the stingers at zero?

They were still a bit positive, up at the prop end.

Good news is I was able to get the broken flex out by pulling the port side stinger. (Went ahead and pulled both as I plan to shorten them about 3/4 to maybe a full inch and set them up with speedmaster bushings)

Bad news is I have to sharpen and balance a new prop and get a fresh pair of flexes..

I think you will see more speed when you shorten them. With the stingers at a positive angle, it moves the prop up, just like moving a strut up. The longer the stinger, the further up the prop moves from this adjustment. When you get the shorter stinger back on try it at zero with the props spinning outward. The props will be closer to the sponson and lower in the water, which should lift the hull out of the water better, even without the angle.

Was it the right lay or normal lay cable that broke? You should be able to use the other flex still, right?

I had meant to ask if you had the one you built for Ben spinning out or in but let it slip my mind until now. Which way were you spinning them?

I'll go back to 0 when I put it back together. Gotta order a couple of bushings for it and lightly ream the prop end so a piece of 1/4" tube will go in for the bushing to run in.

It was the standard lay that let go but going to replace both while I'm at it. I found my spare Hughey reverse cable (from Goldfinger) a couple of days ago and would like a longer stub than what is on the ones that were in it.

It's been a few boats, but I'm relatively sure I had them spinning out.

Dont throw that reverse shaft away...you can always use it on something else.

Bill thanks for the pics , this is good news i would go with pseudonym shortening the stingers will help the ride and also help with turns

the weight is good its just a case of getting it up out of the water look at prop angle then you may have to play about with props to find what works on that hull maybe even 3 bladers

i also run props spinning outwards just for the record
