I took some stills yesterday with the 16mm 500th sec f7.1 and couldn't believe how bad this lens is in the corners. Fine for video, but shocking for stills. So I used the 18-55mm, way better. Has anyone tried the Sigma 19mm F2.8 ?

I have, the 19 Sigma is really good for stills. Even on the 24MP NEX-7 it looks great.

True. Depending on how it performs, I may want to keep the case (which is also 20g). That's 560g plus a few cables. I wish the HDMI cable was like 6" with 2 90 degree plugs.

Love to see some stills from the 16mm Sony and the 19mm Sigma.

Here's a jpg straight out of the camera, reduced to 1600pixel ( ©2012 TAP993 ) but centre & top left corner are crops from full size image at 100%. 250th sec at F6.3 400iso Foliage and grass is a difficult test for cameras. There's tons of in camera sharpening going on. If you look at the RAW file (I always shoot RAW but did RAW+JPG) the edges are rubbish. I've shot some at 500th F6.3 100iso which are no sharper. Look at the tree in top left pic, all the leaves are mushed and oversharpened to hide the lack of definition. Basically, 16mm is OK if you put the main subject in the centre.

Going to Xoar 13x5 with Sunnysky X4108S 600kv motors. The two are close but I should get a better hover throttle for my setup and weight with the 13's.

Thanks for the pics. Have you tried a slower shutter speed with higher f-stop? Maybe 6.3 isn't enough depth of field?
