Man that is sweet...love to see video of the tests...may be boring to some but not me. Would love to hear that 5 bladed setup as well!
Would love to see if my experimental ESC would stand up to those loads.

you can come to here with your esc and we can test it together with such (or stronger) motor and a 5 blade setup!
my power supply is specified for up to 15kW or 510Amps or 80V (not together) - may be its enough to find the borders of your esc....

Did you make the Stator or is it a production one? What batteries did you use for the test? I'll bet those batteries were screaming with 11 second bursts

Wowzer! I have to say thats an inspiration to me as I just completed my first rewind today! It even ran! I did a 5+6 in 1.5mm on a old burnt HK4035. I get 8100rpm @ 12.35v. My shade tree load test was a rag on the bell! 3850 watts on 30 amps with a 2.2 65c 3s to test!(the meter I used only has one view, read the battery voltage before I switched to read the amps) Guys I'm still shopping for a reversed shaft and other goodies to go fast. I'm thinking 13" pitch, your help is needed and advise appreciated.

Well done Apex looks good...I have rewound some smaller 450 heli motors but have yet to try a big one. Am thinking of ordering a Scorpion kit this winter and going from there.

I am convinced that 7S will get the Monster near to or to 400kph (250MPH).

I am studderin and speechless at the same time.
The poor MEGA was in the hands of a brutal killer at the throttle.
Playing with 250 amps for that long with a spinner thats only spinning around and not moving forward to catch air ................................ did you feel the motors temp ?

They should make a law against abusing a motor like that .....................................ps can u send me the .csv file ????

Mopar - Hello Bro... hope things are getting back to a state of normal there in NY. I am running up to the hobby shop today to see if they have a boat water jacket that will fit on that motor so I can make some extended runs...primarily to test the ESC. That is a rock solid Mega. Motor temp was fine.
I will try and get you the CVS but my laptop crashed about a week ago and the ESC is up in Canada (still in the US). I will be back next week and see if I can get you that file.

I absolutely LOVE the 1 turns !!!!!!
No rush, I am all backed up again, lotsof power equipment to repair and modify. No time for RC now .......

I need advise from you out runner speed freaks on using 10s or 12s and what size prop use on the new 4035 motor to hit 240-250 or dirt nap! Here's some data from a 5s test to access the Kv. I'm thinking round it to 550 Kv ? what flying voltage?
Hope to get there by late spring. On the other hand, the new enthusiasm and interest in learning to wind has given new breath into another realm of the hobby! I look forward to the challenges of the new year and what it may bring in the sport of speed!
