Yep. I always want to take mine places. I bought another Champ a couple weeks ago to keep in my office. I don't like carrying things from the parking lot to my office and back again... I took the Champ camping a few weekends back and flew over the lake at the end of the day. I plan to take it on all our trips now.

The Champ is a great plane to start on.
You should read up on the other threads about the Champ. They are very long! But informative and funny. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1216910 One of the quickest things you may need to know is how to repair it. I have folded wings over, cracked the rudder, bent about every part on it and it still works great. I use "3M Scotch scrapbooking clear tape" for the repairs. It is very strong and very similar to the tape that holds the sections together. It's funny when you look around your wifes scrapbooking supplies you see many useful tools and adhesives for working on your planes. ![]() In fact I even use her table for repairs and builds when she isn't around. I went from the Hobbyzone Champ to the Parkzone UM T-28 in a few weeks. If you think you are hooked now, just wait until you are flying with ailerons. Even though I have 1200mm and 1400mm warbirds I still fly the micros with my daughter. |
