Hobbyking Piper Cub vs Dynam Piper Cub For First Plane?

Basically HobbyKing.com Vs NitroPlanes.com!

I have a few heli's and I have worn out my flight sim game on my computer, and I am ready for my first airplane!

I want some scale looks in a cheap package- which of these should I go with?

It might be good to note that I'd love to mount a gopro on the plane if at all possible.

- Slightly smaller but company seems to have a SLIGHTLY better reputation

- bigger plane but company seems shady... lol

I want the Dynam plane, because it is bigger, but I'm not 100% comfortable with nitroplanes.com, but they do have replacement parts available.

Any thoughts?!?!?!

THANKS!

what you do is go to the LHS and get a plane there so you have replacment parts. seriously. I have a friend that ordered a balsa plane from NP and the cowl was cracked. a month later, still no replacement and even a complaint on these forums about it as well. So, I'd wait for buying a first plane online till you get good at it.

Hmm. I think you got the two mixed up heh heh

Nitroplanes comes through when it's in stock. Better get any spare parts you may ever need when you order though. You don't know what tomorrow will bring, but it never seems to bring spare parts.

My relationship with HK, on the other hand, is a little more volatile.

This will cause a few giggles

Anyway, NP isn't a bad company at all.

Having said all that, I don't recommend either of them for a first - fourth plane. The cost of repairing one is pretty much the cost of a new kit because individual parts are very hard to get. NP is always out of stock and HK doesn't even offer them.

You would be better off with something like this if you want a Piper Cub

Or an Apprentice if you just want a big plane with parts available almost everywhere http://secure.hobbyzone.com/catalog/...p/EFL2900.html
