I use the deans type on all of my rc things, just wanted a standard, and I started there. I don't really know the pro's or cons of any of the plug types. And I use the ones readily available from HobbyKing

Yep, that's all I use Supposedly, they have the least resistance of any other plug. Even less than the wire itself

Good to hear . I really like the Deans and I'm now going to standardize all my equipment to them.

I heard the XT-60 connectors can hold more amps than the deans.

The main think I like about XT-60 is they can be separated easily whether hot or cold. All the softer plastic connectors tend to get soft and are hard to pull appart when warm.

esc programing

Has anyone had an issue with setting the ESC in this thing?
Just set the hi & low point for throttle. Will work fine for a moment, then when u cut the throttle, it wont stop straight away. When it does stop motor beeps and twitches and wont go again..??

Did you accidentally push the throttle trim up beyond the neutral point? If not try backing it down a couple of clicks and recalibrating. Other than that your ESC may have probs?

Cheers Mick, I will check that as well.
Had a few trim / travel tips to try tonight...

I ordered my Zephyr from Hobby King on Thursday and their web site now says that it's shipped,. I tried the tracking # but it just takes me to another page that says this " 无查询邮件信息或邮件超过查询期限.". Anyone have any ideas? How long should I expect to wait for delivery? I just cant wait to get my hands on this thing!

It roughly translates to "The no query mail messages or e-mail exceeds the query time limit"

Just cut and paste your tracking# to this link:
https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction_input
You're in North Cakalaki, USPS tracking will work.

what kmdunnster says will work but don't expect to see anything there until it gets accepted for shipment from Hong Kong. And often it will say that the item has arrived at the NYC sorting center, and then it shows up at your door.

Don't expect less than a 2 week delivery time, as much as 3 weeks in my experience.

My face palm moment !

This happened after major repairs that involved removal of the EDF unit and most of the electronics (this so that I could dunk the Zephyrs nose in boiling water).

Took the Zephyr out for its first flight with upspecced batteries. 2 launches resulted in really apathetic take offs. The Zephyr just would not lift off. I never had this problem with the underspecced batteries....??? It wallowed around near the deck and I had to land within 10 metres of takeoff.

Checking throttle throws, changing the ESC's wiring.....WHAT THE ??

Make my way back home, put it on the bench....
Then it hits me.... I had reassembled the EDF in backwards!!!
