What radio did the X9DA borrowed the case from? I know it is a JR case, but what model? Kinda looks like a 9303, but not quite.

I'm trying to imagine how the X12D will look on my Tray or in my hands on a warm calm sunny day.

Not both, all three. Surely you've heard of the Holy Trinity.

Interesting but why only one way?

It's likely "long range" thanks to more power. Also increasing the data return feed would require having the same high-powered transmitter in the aircraft's "receiver", which might not be practical.

Not sure the audio port is at the best place.

Without tray the audio plug could touch the pilot belly and tray must have an hole for the plug and a way for the cable.

Why not near the trainer port ? But where is the trainer port ?

Fair point, I rest my tx against by belly and ply and wire coming out there would not be comfortable and may end up breaking the plug.
Round the back somewhere would be better I think.
A wireless audio out would be good, especially with the dlg launches.
