I do not care where the display is.. Just so long as it is clear and readable. So far all displays from FrSky have been easy to read. Even the 128x64 OLED display screen on the lipo sensor.

i really doubt its on TOP, its quite large to be on top,
usually top displays are square like jr3810 or multiplex royal evo

this one is quite panoramic so i am pretty sure its at bottom, and to me i like them at bottom,

What is: "Frsky future digital protocol PXX." please?

I too celebrate the development of this new tx. Should be really good.

Jim.

PXX is like PPM, just a new modulation... but it is digital, open source (i believe) and developed by frsky. (still beta as far as i know)
if you got er9x on a 9x radio you can flash your frsky module with a special firmware then user er9x with PXX modulation to achieve nice features like model match, ultra low latency of 5ms, failsafe over the radio menu, interconnected receivers for a massive amount of channels and keep counting...

Top display is better for telemetry data, you don't have to look way down when thermaling to read vario data. Also it would be nice to have a real vario sensor that shows real vario value instead of simple altitude, would be great for finding thermals. But if there's an option to install the FLD-02, it's okay too.

Isn't that bottom display just an FPV screen? Also that Tx is priced around Hitec Aurora. I don't think FrSky would put in expensive parts into a product they want to keep at "reasonable price".

Well don't pay to much attention to this picture i posted. Might be a prototype for hk made by some company. I don't know much and pic can be fake. But the bottom part I don't think it would be for telemetry. If the the pic of the radio is real why would they have telemetry at the bottom? Doesn't make sense and if it is telemetry screen why in color? I reather not have color for viewing telemetry black and white is a lot easier to see.

FPV as in First Person View. You know, where a camera is placed on the plane and the picture is sent down to a screen or goggles. Telemetry is a bit different
Also that pic is a real Tx, will be in production soon and costs a bazillion money.

I hope they put it on top like the Hitec Eclipse 7 Pro. It is the most readable display I have seen.

Like this?

I made the DHT-U casing smaller, milled away a portion of the DX7 and mounted the DHT-U in that spot.
Now I have a dual system DX7. I just preferred the bigger screen and some more possibilities compared to the FLD-02 but didn't like to have a box mounted at the antenna.

That photo has nothing to do with the HK radio. It was a vapor ware product that never came into life.

That is why I said might because I'm not sure. But looks like a nice system at least the outside. Looks better then futaba 8fg for sure.
