What type of driver are you looking for? We need to know your OS, video card, and any errors you are receiving.

I'm running RealFlight G2 on WinXP just fine. When I first installed all I got was a white screen a RealFlight rep suggested I update and that fixed it. Get the online updates through the RF control panel and you should be fine.

What graphics engine does RF use? OpenGL?

I'm not sure if I'm right or not, but it is my understanding that in Windows XP you can set up modes to run programs under previous windows conditions. I believe it emulates the older OS's. For example, you can make it run a windows 95 programs better by having it run it under the windows 95 mode. Like I said, I'm not sure if this option made it into the final version, but I know it should have. Hope this helps.

Charles, did your second generation Real Flight G2 work
correctly under Windows XP the first time? My version is G1
version 1.2 and even downloading the patches did not help.
Great Planes support told me today that Real Flight Deluxe
version 1.20 is not compatible with XP or ME.

I have the Multiplex cockpit mm tx and RF G2 with the interface which does not link up to my tx. It has a slightly different plug. The cable adapter to the parralel port is only a 2 conductor mini mono plug. A computer/music keyboard midi plug falls right into the mpx tx.

If I had some pinout info I could patch in. My other choice is to use the usb RCJOY from Lew Engineering, $90.

Anyone else solve this problem?

No, when I first installed I had sound but could see only a white screen. I contacted Great Planes and they told me to run the automatic upgrade from the disks CPANEL.EXE, and that fixed it.

I built my own controller out of an old Futaba radio just for fun, it works interchangeably with the Futaba controller that came with the software. Processor is a AMD T-bird.

If you have tried the update and it still doesnt work the only thing I can think to try is to run the program in 98 mode. I'd be surprised if it works but its worth a try. Right click on the RealFlight desktop shortcut, go to properties, then compatibility, then choose 98 for mode.

Generation 2 Sim has all the right drivers which are accepted
by XP?

No, when freshly installed I get white screen only but after the auto update I have had no problems.

I had version 1 of RF running under ME and now I'm running the latest version of G2 under ME and both work fine.
