I did see a news blurb about it, but nothing since. However, RP would be front page news if he decided to run as an Independent.

Even if RP was to get elected by some miracle, he would still have to deal with both houses of Congress and possible court challenges to his agenda.

Or be like the current administration and try to find ways around those pesky issues.

Every "administration" has an agenda and to claim that this particular one is unlike any other is really high up on the fail scale.

I do remember in the news a midnight meeting where the last administration tried to intervene in the Terry Schiavo case to stop a husband and doctors from adhering to his wife's stated wishes as she lay in an almost brain dead coma , and another where they tried to get their attorney general John Ashcroft laying in a hospital bed in no sound state of mind, to sign off on warrentless domestic eavesdropping on Americans. He refused.

Since the MSM decided the GOP race is over, they do not cover it. Even if he runs as an independant, they will not cover it.

Police states for RNC...

If you can't control the vote's then arrest the voters.

RNC/DNC Cities Will be Police States (8 min 45 sec)

Dropped the drones because of cost issues? Hmmm.

If they want RP, round 'em up and arrest them, darn RP extremists.

I think RP got Alaska and only needs one more state (Maine) for a total of 5 to make it a brokered convention. I could be wrong ... I am gradually learning the US political proccess.

no but it is close.if some here would wake up and vote for real freedom. the freedom to fail too btw.but they would rather argue over which side of the same coin is going to be in this time. it never occurs to them to be a +1 more on the freedom side.

Voting on principle is the greater good!

i have been looking for this for 2 days. if you want to be free. stop the endless wars . end tsa an the rest of the alphabet soup agency's well you know who to support.
a vote for romney or obama will result in more fascism and socialism.

http://www.dailypaul.com/229702/voti...e-greater-good

Quote:
"Obama must be stopped!" they say. "The difference between Romney and Obama is that Romney's not a communist! We must unite behind to Romney to defeat Barack Obama!"

This whole idea is based on the ethics theory utilitarianism - or the "greater good" concept, and it's what's been driving our elections for many years.

Yes, Romney's pretty bad...but if you had a choice to vote for 100 people to get killed or 95 people to get killed, you should vote for 95 people to get killed, because then you'd save 5 lives! This is the greater good. There is the option to vote for 0 people to get killed, but that option is very unlikely to win so you'd be wasting to your vote against the 100 killings if you were to vote for that.

And that is the glue that keeps this "vote for the lesser of two evils" system together. That third option is unattainable, unprecedented and unelectable. This assumption of disempowerment has pushed so many people to vote in direct opposition of their conscious, morals and beliefs.

But we don't do this on a macro scale. If someone asked you to choke a baby to death you'd say, "no way!" You couldn't bring yourself to do such an abhorrent thing! The options of killing 100 or 95 people are both unacceptable options. The only acceptable option is the idealistic 0. That's the only thing worth fighting for.

But the 0 never wins right? The 100 and 95 being sustained all rests on the illusion that 0 can't happen. Well, the crack in that system is that voting happens on a regular basis. If we vote on principle and not just "against the 100", the dynamic can change from

"there's no support or hope for 0"

to

" you know what, a lot of people stood up for 0 last cycle, maybe we have a chance."

And eventually we can break that glass box of 2 choices. Then voting for 0 will be the new precedent, and the 95 and 100 will be unelectable.

This new precedent will save more than 5 lives each cycle, and is thus ethically the greater good.
