Teaching an old car new tricks?.....

Need help from anyone with good suggestions. I decided to dig up my old RC10 a few days ago... it hasn't been touched since my brother used it in a robotics course in college around 2003 and before that wasn't driven hard since 1995.

All I have the is the body / frame and all the working parts (including the gear box) is in tact. Anyone have suggestions for where to start with the motor, ESC, radio, servos (maybe even a change out of tires too)? I'm wanting the potential to go pretty fast.

Thoughts or suggestions? Any is appreciated!

What's your transmission like? And, what are you willing to spend on it?

If your transmission is tough, and you want cheap, go with the Castle Sv2 Brushless ESC and motor. The combo is about $100 from many shops.

I have one and LOVE it.
