Help!
Is there any gimbal stabilisation unit out there that can do camera lock?

Other than picloc Is there any gimbal stabilisation unit out there that can do camera lock?
Eg on a 360 degree mount flying in a circle the camera stays locked pointed on subject when flying.

The picloc can most likely do this in perfect conditions, but you need to first aim the camera and then fly a circle at constant height, with the subject in center at all times.

For this to work without manual aiming of the camera you need to feed the gimbal controller with both its own and the subjects x,y and z coordinates. Then it can calculate where the subject is relative to the camera. I have not seen a gimbal controller do that yet, but a "point of interest" function exists in some systems like MK.

Edit: I have now read that the picloc has a GPS input. I need to find out more

My bet would be on the PhotoHigher.

But I also thought I read that it will be only compatible with their gimbals.

I could be wrong with that...... I feel like I remember reading that in their thread.

I think it will work on other gimbals, they wrote that the 360 feature will be a firmware upgrade later on down the line.

oh okay. I must be thinking of the DJI system...... Good to know about the 3rd axis not shipping with the first units.

that leave the game open to HoverFly if they can release a reliable product that performs at launch.

Hmmm. I am in the same market (picloc looks really good right now......)
