We had a couple of gas guys show up today and we let them run by themselves.

I kind of wish someone had shot video of their second run. That's when I took my DF-33 P mono out and spanked both of them.

Sure wasn't what I was expecting to see Ron. Before they went in the water I was listening to tales of "finishing 7th in a field of 28 boats" and such.
The red one was supposed to have some kind of mod 38cc motor where the other was running a 26cc mod. I don't think any of us there were impressed by anything other than the amount of noise they made. They did have a cool recovery vessel though. A stand up windsurfer board they were paddling out to get their boats on with every run.

Another windy day at Ackerman so attendance wasn't that great. This is an early morning Limited Spec Offshore heat before the wind got really bad.

I have to say that other than the hazy sun, today was actually a much better day at Ackerman than any of us expected. The wind forecast was looking like a big boat kind of day but there was not a lot of chop in the early morning hours.

Managed to talk Chris into trying out my new camera and got some video of my freshly repaired Falcon cat today. AT 50 feet and well over 50 mph the repairs are not noticeable at all.

It started out with SC against the Spartan but Rich blew the Spartan over somewhere around lap 3 so thought I'd let Chris finish running down the packs since he didn't bring anything to run other than the recovery boat.
