It is the 47" Promise mono scorp.
I got a couple of good laughs out of his reactions during the run and thought you might get a chuckle as well since we've both been there ourselves.

Not really sure but I think his had a bit larger span. His had flaps that came down only from the bottom of the wing and some really nice looking retracts. He was running 6S lipo in it.

Chances are if he's running 6s that his is a 90mm class. Mine is only a 70mm and does not have flaps.

That was a 9s 2p run in the video scorp. By the time it was over he had pretty much decided that 6s 2p would be plenty for playing in his back yard though.
Prop was an Octura X457/3

Hopefully we'll catch a break in the weather before too much longer and get in some more runs at Ackerman where there's room to let the big dogs run.

Thanks Dave. It came out pretty good for a rush build. Just trying to stay busy while the weather's been bad. Hoping we manage to get out and play again eventually.

Cool

I was having trouble getting the HT-FPV quad to balance with my GoPro so picked up a HobbyPartz "dice" camera. It came in today and had to give it a quick trial. Of course good lighting was not to be had between the overcast skies and the length of time it took to charge a pack after getting home from work. I think I had a little too much angle in the wedge I put under it to give a little downward tilt as well.
Still not bad for the price. http://www.hobbypartz.com/86p-988-dice-minicam.html

Aerial 1 (4 min 35 sec)

Sorry 'bout the music but I wanted to cover up the blade noise so did a soundtrack swap on youtube to avoid copyright issues.

Neat!

And I would have never guessed you'd be into 12 Stones.

They were on the top of the list of available, so tried about 30 seconds of a couple and took the 2nd one.Sounds lots better to me than what I get from the neighbors on occasion.

Looks like you need some balancing on the props Bill, but nice video!

Here's a picture of mine completed, I might need to pick up some heavier batteries after I add my 2 axis stabilized gimbal up front until I pick up the FPV transmitter and battery.

The thought crossed my mind but was in winds that were occasionally gusting over 10 mph and I'm not that good with it yet. Ordinarily, I wouldn't even have flown it but was wanting to try out the little cheapie camera.

Nice looking rig W.
Part of the jello effect may have been from the camera being held on by only a small square of velcro. (and cheapie cam) I noticed it has a llittle jerk to it every 45 seconds or so when it's writing to the card too.
Balance has been my issue with the GoPro. The 2200's I started with were way too light so ordered a couple of 3000's. They are still not enough to offset the weight but the the 5000's I already had are too heavy.
