Is the Neptune that much bigger than the Delta???? or is it that you made the Neptune longer or something? That by the way is the best I mean the best mod I ever seen on a Neptune. You need to sell kits for that mod!!!!

---fixed that for you.

the delta is a very small submarine. 6.25" in diameter, and not quite 24" long.

it is a 1:8 scale model of a sub that is less than 16' long in real life.

sitting next to my 1:8 Alvin, it looks REALLY tiny.

I guess opposite of bad. Okay what I mean, is it better than a Neptune? I never seen one in the flesh. It looks heavier than the Neptune. Does it have static diving. Is it easier to get inside than unscrewing 6 nuts? Which isn't a big deal. That is kinda what i meant. I am wondering. Maybe someday I will get a Delta , That is if they are still availalbe.

Hi guys,

sorry for my late post...

First... my english is teribble

Okay the Thunder Tiger Neptune SB-1 is mutch bigger than the Delta.

My Neptune is a little bit shorter than an original Neptune, i cut 2cm from the bulb housing window in the front.

I preferre the Neptune... the pressurehousing is stronger and it is easyer to modifiy all thing.
The Delta is a very very nice full scale Submarine... the construction is simple an effectiv but not so strong. Divedeep is ~ 3,5 m, i think the max is 5m.

More about the Delta later... i buy it used an i must repair any thing, my Delta used a Pistontank so they will dive faster than the original.

kallibaba,

definitely post a new thread for your delta, i would love to see pictures of its piston tank / insides.

shaneperch, as far as i know the delta is available. I bought mine a year ago brand new from norbert directly. I would say the neptune is a better first sub than the delta. the delta is a very complete sub, however, with a nice set of plans and good sized instruction manual. Like all kits of a complicated nature, it isn't simple. I think it would make a good second sub if you already own a neptune.

I will post photos of my delta when it is finished (sometime this summer i hope).

kalibaba,

i apologize for hijacking your thread...

i do like what you have done with your neptune... it looks a lot like the "clelia", and i think it is an improvement over the stock look. very nicely done.
