How many rc channels do you think it would take to replicate that?

Yeah, we fly with buzzards and kites regularly, marking and sharing lift. Sometimes we find it and they join us, more likely we poach theirs.

You can almost here them laughing, saying to each other "Didn't his Momma teach him how to fly??/"

Ha- I watched three Ospreys flying in a thermal today.

Two adults were just soaring off lulling along without effort while a first year was down at tree top 100 feet lower. He was screaming and carrying on as he kept missing the lift as it rolled one wing up and pushed him out.

That was awesome, thank you for posting that, very much enjoyed!

The last part with the Goshawk is actual speed. We will never replicate that performance.

Angry Birds! haha, that Owl looks cool and mean! Mother nature rules. Driving to and from Toledo yesterday, saw bunches of Buzzards mostly Surfing lift off trees - really windy. Was thinking to myself, I would not be flying one of my planes but I bet they are having fun.
