Question
Need advice for a 3D foamy that will use the electronics I have lying around

I've been out of RC for a while and am slowly getting back into it. My old foamies have been sitting in a hot Arizona garage for a couple years and aren't really in any shape to fly at this point. That leaves me with some perfectly good electronics waiting for an airframe.

Here's what I've got lying around:

* Park 400 960kV
* Park 370 1080kV
* 30A ESC
* 18A ESC
* Handfull of HXT900's
* Couple of AR6100 Rx's
* Bunch of 1300mAh 3s LiPo's

Now I want to get a decent 3D foamy to add to my collection but I really have no idea where to start. I have experience with 3D flying with an old E-Flite Ultimate biplane as well as my Micro 4-Site. I'd like to pick up an airframe this weekend.

What would be a good, easy to build plane I could start with? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

One of the 42" planes from Fancy Foam comes to mind. May want to contact him.

You are right around the corner from me, we should meet up. I'll let you test fly a foamie that would work perfect for your electronics, this way you can see if you like it before buying. There's about 5 foamies I can highly recommend and they are all in the $50 to $75 range. Sent you a pm.

Need advice for a 3D foamy that will use the electronics I have lying around

I just got a $6 ESC and a $8 BL motor from HK,and a hand full of $3 9gram servoes for a Blue Foamy 31" ws. I will use 3S 1000mAh or 800 mAh to power it and a HK DSM2 style RX. The YAK 3D has blue 1/4" foam for all surfaces and a 1/4" carbon tube for a spar. Some tape, H2O water base spray paint and 1mm wire as push rods and 4 horns then off to the races.
