More blades sound the best, but fans like CS are kind of iffy....they can throw blades and hurt motor shaft and maybee cause a crash.I know alloy fan may be pricey but you will never hurt it,nor need to balance it....ever!You can always install it in another EDF if the jet crashes, thrust is its best thing,as all the multi blades over 5 will put out.I flew Wemos/HETs for years and yes they are great fans but now I am into the sound more then top speed with a few of mine.Anybody who hears it comments on that....

[QUOTE=WhalleyB0Y;22804537]Thanks for the input guys. The 1900kv wasn't a typo on my part but it is what I was told this motor was. The motor and ZTW esc came out of a 90mm FA18 foamie that had been scrapped. I flew that plane on 6s a few times before a reversing lead took it down.

http://edfhobbies.com/index.php?rout...&product_id=74

This is the motor I have and I can see now why it won't work in Habu.
The 5mm shaft and outrunner design wont fit into a Wemo pro mini fan.

I really would like a nice alloy fan and an optimal motor for 5s or 6s.

Hi Erik,

I have lots of experience with the 80mm E-Flite EDF, but never put the Smaller 70mm Delta V fan together.

The motor will fit the housing just fine, and the shaft is the proper 4mm, but you may need to shorten the shaft, and put a flat on it, as we do here. You can do it yourself from my drawing. But the numbers may be different for the 70mm E-Fite fan.

http://www.effluxrc.com/5mm-Shaft-Mo...2-EFL32-SM.htm

The rotor must always mount as close to the motor housing as possble (with rubbing the housing or the motor screws.

This motor is great for 4s, You should use a heat sink and thermal compound from the samw page.

5s is for burst WOT throttle only. (High speed passes)

Best regards, Gary

You have received a contact request from a visitor to your storefront at http://www.EFFLUXRC.COM:

Velocity "3700" Semi-hot wind, 3700kv
http://www.effluxrc.com/Velocity-370...V2860-3700.htm

Will this motor bolt right in to the stock setup of the Parkzone Habu 2?

Thank you,
The Quick Shopping Cart Team

Kind regards,
Gary - efflux RC

Hi All
I have just ordered my first jet the habu2 and was wondering would a nano tec 5C 4000Mah be ok with a 75ESC CC lite and the sock motor.

Thanks Alan

The batt will make you a bit nose heavy, and you might have to carve some foam from the underside of the canopy, but that's it. Guessing by 5c you mean 18.5v / 5 cells. The ESC is fine - make sure you get good ventilation.
Best,
Josh

5s 4000 will be too nose heavy IMHO. The biggest I'd go is 3300mh 5s. I've flown mine with a 4000mh 4s and it was VERY nose heavy.

It will be fine with stock motor with the ICE75.

90%+ of the time the stock motor is just fine. Remember to use throttle management and not run it WOT all the time. Also the CC Ice Lite might not me a good idea unless you are mounting it on the belly. There is very little air flow through the electronics area and an Ice lite WILL overheat there.

5S 4000 will be quite a bit of weight up front. You'll need lead in the tail to make it balance. A much better option would be something in the 2900-3500mAh range.

You could mount the esc further back than stock location, like in one of the inlet ducts or behind the fan unit. This would help cool it since it is a CC Lite. Also would help with balancing the 4000Mah. Still might need some more weight in the rear.

QUOTE=eaticus;22808842]My Habu 1 flies on 4s3300 25c GenAce. It get 3.5 minutes of mostly full throttle then it is time to land. It consumes around 2800mah.[/QUOT

I have 4S 2500Mah 25C Gens Ace available from another plane. Wondering if I drop in Habu2 (no flaps/landing gear) for shake down flights (with correct CG) is this feasible??? Any idea on flight times? 2 minutes? Thanks!

Hi,What an awsome EDF plane! I was flying her all day today...did around 20 flights! My Habu 2 is tired...Check the first video of a risky flight I had today at a parking lot.See my landing passing on top of cars! Will never fly again with so many traffic at the parking lot for safety reasons. It was empty and all of a sudden it was full of cars and people.Next time this happens I will just leave or stop flying.Too risky.
ParkZone Habu 2 EDF Risky Flight (3 min 11 sec)

Another flight of today...
ParkZone Habu 2 New Version (3 min 36 sec)

One more...
ParkZone Habu 2 EDF Flight (3 min 45 sec)

Ok but weight at close to 600gr!!! I was mostly thinking of running the 2500's for shake down/maiden flights until I can decide on 4S or 5S and Mah. I understand short flights but hate to jump in and rush on final power/battery set-up. Any opinions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

A maiden or first flight to work out the kinks, tune the trim and throws and make any fine adjustments to the CG.
