Turnerm, I'd love to see some hovering piros, both fast and slow, if possible...

Is that yer wife bitchin' in the background while you're trying to fly?

I thought I read that this bird could fly on the mCPx settings? If that's true then the docile mCPx settings should work on it as well. I don't know for sure if this is true so try it at your own risk.

The manual settings are pretty docile to begin with. Just lower the D/R and increase the expo from the manual settings.

thanks I'll try that. it just went from a faily stable 2' hover to about 20' without trying and moved out over the street and I probably panaced trying to get it back.
I was in normal mode.

I think 130X and mcpx settings are bit different. Especially on throttle curve and pitc travel adj.

For throttle curve
mcpx : 0, 40, 60, 80, 100 NORM
130X: 0,40, 60, 68, 75 NORM

Stunt mdoe is the same 100% flat.

For pitc travel adj,
mcpx : 75%
130X: 100%

The exp and D/R is personal preference. So, pay attention to those different parameters for setup..

Thanks guys! I think this heli is exactly what I need to determine if I'm going to push forward with helis or just stick with planes. I've been with the hobby about 1.5 years now but 98% of that has been with planes...

LOL! No... That was my 8 year old daughter letting me know that she was over at the neighbor's house.

I'll try to video some hovering piros tomorrow. From my very limited feel tonight it seemed like it will lock into those piros quite nicely. Mine drifted tonight but I never started from a good hover first.

Thanks for the comparison...that's close enough so I'll copy over the mCPx settings and tweak it a little.

+1

I was really excited when I got my Mcpx, but now that I am finished building my 500 size Heli, and I can't get anything to work right, setup is a PITA, as well as the realization that these big birds are way more expensive and dangerous..........

The 130X might be my sweet spot. But I think I want to wait until all of the issues are resolved.

I agree! Definitely time to go inverted. I did a little on my fourth and last flight of the night. It I feel like I could use a little more room for recovery if necessary so I'll work more on that in a larger space first!

Well my replacement flew great! No drift, no vibes. Handled wind at 15 gusting to 23mph no problem.

Then some jerk flew it into the ground, so I need a new blade grip Hurry up with those parts!
