Plus, the 15% coupon is good for the entire order, so some extra parts and carbon blades, too. I'm also convinced, in my personal experience, you get better customer service when you nicely point out that you ordered directly from them. No brainer for me to order from HH.
That definitely beats Ampdraw. They charge shipping. I wouldn't hesitate. You will really enjoy the 300X. How does one get coupons from HH?

Order a boat load of stuff in the past? Honestly, they just emailed it to me.

They're supposed to email you free shipping and $15 off coupons according to how much you spend, too. You can check your rewards in your account, but I never get the emails. Not even in my spam box. I email HH periodically and they send me the codes but, about 90% of the time, they never work. I have to call it in and phone orders don't count towards rewards points for some strange reason. On-line only.

I have bought very little from HH. My LHS is excellent. He always has the heli's and parts. Being a regular customer gets me very good service. I can crash a heli, take it to the shop where they fix it for me for the cost of the parts only.

That is great service! I guess I'm a sadist, though. I actually enjoy working on/fixing helis. LOL

Again, I don't have the option of walking into a LHS, much less a good LHS. My LHS isn't so local.

I fix all my little heli's but, have taken my 450X in for repair the first two crashes I repaired it myself after the last crash. I will be repairing all of them from now on. My 300X is approaching 60 flights and I haven't crashed it yet ( knock on wood ). I have flown my 450X much less but, have crashed it three times. So you see, I am much more comfortable with the 300X. The 450X is a great heli but, I like my 300X much more. I'm sure you would like the 300X as much as I do. I don't remember reading anything negative about its flight characteristics.

Definitely a nice heli though not as stable as the 130x. But that may not be a bad thing... more powerful? more responsive? The 130x is still my fav heli but the 300x is pretty great too.

Not questioning your experience, but how can it be more unstable since it's bigger, heaver and has a better FBL unit? The wind here thrashes the heck out of my 130X and the 300X can only be logically better in that same environment.

Yeah... seems odd, doesn't it? But those who have flown both agree. There was discussion about it a while back in both the 130x and 300x threads. The 130x is just a complete piece of cake to hover. It'll go hands off if there's no wind. The 300x, you have to stay on top of. But that is just one metric and overall the 300X is the superior machine with more power and control authority.

There's no dialing in the AR7200BX to make things more stable? This (300X or 450X) will be my first venture into owning that FBL/RX unit. I've always heard how great it is and, since I like Blade helis, it seems like a logical choice to pick one of those two helis. I'm not interested in the announced larger Blade helis, so it's either the 300X or the 450X.

Sorry! I have a 130X and love it. I fly it almost every day out front and have progressed so much with it. Sorta back on topic.

Erkq,

Regarding the stability of the 300X - have you experimented with the BeastX parameters? The stability & response can be tailored to suit the pilot's preferences.

Well, I just placed the order and the 450X it is. I already have the 4503D, so most of the spares and all of the batteries and carbon blades I already have will transfer over. I'll just have to learn to reign it in for flying in smaller areas and the 130X already has the flying out front at home area covered. The 300X is a complete unknown to me, but my 4503D has been a reliable workhorse, so I'll stick with that underlying pedigree in the 450X.

Thanks for everyone's help and see you in the 450X threads!

No, I haven't. It's really completely enjoyable the way it is. As I say, it's not necessarily a bad thing. I don't mind it at all. My point was only that, OOB, the 130x is more stable. But the 300x is still a very well behaved machine. I think the 130x's stability is quite exceptional compared to all other helis I've flown.

The 130X really is amazing. Just tighten up a few points, balance the tail and she's golden.
