Yippee!
Hangar 9 Taylorcraft electric conversion

Just thought i would post a photo of my just completed 80 in. Taylorcraft.It was a simple conversion and the kit was outstanding. I used an E-flite power 160 with a Phoenix HV110 speed controller and an XOAR 18x10 prop it all runs on 10S. The CG was almost dead on, only had to make a small adjustment. Thanks.

looks great. What is the weight and and how many watts you got going on? I am just starting a conversion of a H9 p-51 80" wing. Same setup.

What kind of flight times are you getting. I just got this plane and cant decide to go electric or gas. You said 10s but how many MAH? nice clean Electric would be awesome!
I have the power 160 laying around, ztw100HV esc, Castle BEC PRO, with all the accessories. Should I use the stock Servos? spektrum 6000's or upgrade them? I am a 3d guy mostly so I am hoping to do some mild acrobatics with this plane.

Also can you take a pic of your battery bay? When ever someone does a e-conversion always curious about how the batteries are setup.

Sorry to take so long to get back to my post. Here are some numbers on my set up .

Amps=59
Volts= 41.97
Watts= 2291
this is about 147 watts per pound. thats with a Power160 on 10s (6s+4s)5000 turning an 18x10 Xoar prop. my servos are hitec HS-485HB. I have my timer set at seven min. and land with about 1/2 left on batteries. This set up has plenty of power and the airplane will climb straight up.
