I'm thinking about getting into the fixed wing hobby with a UM T-28 or The Beast (oddly enough the same color scheme and name as my snow skis). I'm thinking the DX6 would be the TX to get as I've found a programmable TX to be awesome for my helicopters. Problem is that The Beast uses familiar batteries that I have a charger for while the UM T-28 uses E-Flight batteries that I would have to use their charger for, plus I don't believe the E-FLight batteries are switchable with other companies like Hyperion. Is there a way to adapt other batteries to the UM T-28? Or is there an adapter so I could charge the E-Flight batteries on my regular Li-Po charger?

I started with the Champ then went to the Parkzone UM Corsair. Both were good for their purpose, getting started in RC planes. They both held up to many crashes and with a little glue went right back together and up in the air within minutes. I also have the 800mm FMS P-40 and T-28, both of these planes are durable. I use 2s 900 and 3s 1000 batteries. They fly well with both. All the planes I fly from my house in a 10acre field. Besides changing the motors on the 800mm planes I never needed parts for them either. Some glue maybe
. I plan on buying more FMS planes, for the money they are a good buy.

Make sure the elevator control rods are solid in their quick connect at the servo arm. Use loctite. Also the front gear rod may need attention to keep it from binding. I find with out gear it is a fine belly lander! Good luck Chris |

It flew like a brick and torque roll was not managable at my skill level. The mustang has added weight over it's scale appearence. I would not recommend it for limited space. Chris |

The 750mm P-47 does a bit better. Both feel better with a 3 cell and a gws 7x5or 6 two blade prop. Have crashed with tail winds. Must rember to keep the T up, no matter how fast it 'looks'the like the plane is going! Good luck Chris |
