Kokam 1500s vs TP2100s... who's winning?

I have a TP2100 pack for my mpjet 25/35 (pulling around 14 amps WOT but more like 7-9 amps during most of my flying.

The Kokam 1500s sure look appealing at $50 vs $80 for the TP packs.
Am I missing some reason the 1500s wouldn't be a good choice?
Thanks for any help.

Based on my so far very limited experience with the K1500s and not much more with the TP2100s, I'd say you've nothing to lose but some duration. You'll get as good power and at least as high a percentage of the rated capacity out of the K1500s as you get from your TP2100s used the way you describe.

Well, it depends what you want to draw. I draw 20A peaks and avg 15A during the flight. It's obviously a limit for the TP as they come quite hot. I don't think I could draw that out of the kok1500.
If you draw 5 to 6C as you say, you can try these cells (btw, tests show according to other threads the 8C are overstated for these cells).
Another solution which will give you better voltage and 20g less than the TP are the CBP 850 in 3S2P pack. I manage to draw 10C avg from these cells which don't heat much. And they hold a better voltage...but you have to build your own packs.
