Ben, two 8,000mah 6s would be ideal and their for turngy nano tech is only about $110 a piece.

WE have tested with Turngy motors and the flight was about 25% to 30% longer, motor is smaller, but the reliability is not there, magnet and bearing issues caused couple of flips.

We are now using a slightly bigger Hacker motor and draw more amps, but the reliability and stability is better and haven't had any issues with these motors.

will report back on the flight with 6 packs.

Thanks Jason;

Reliability is the number 1 thing. When you got close to $10K in the air :-)

p.s. I had meant to ask you about the six pack, which opens up lots of positive avenues on spreading the wight for CG and using lighter wires.
I like to see which one is better, two large ones or 6 smaller ones?

I felt if you are happy with flight time with two 6s, or two large 6s would be a simpler solution. The 6 lipo setup are for people who need longer flight time in certain situations that recording can't be stop.

It's options for different situations that professionals might run into.

Working on that next. Walking leg and machine gun, LOL!

Just AP machines for me. I have friends working on war machines, they aren't happy, or as proud about their designs.

But I would consider one that can deliver pizza, beer and tacos.

Wow, not only top-of-the-line Frame, but state-of-the-art camera mounts and gimbal. High end stuff.

We been designing Helicams for AP application for the past 4 years. 4 years might not seem long, but in our industry is quite some time. We never cross over to multicopter till now because we didn't want to solder flight controllers at the time. WKM is why we make the jump.

The goal from the very start for the X6 design is to be able to match the capability of our helicam.

Today, tested with motors mounting with 2.5 degree of Dihedral angle. And it happened to be a windy day, about 15mph. The X6's stability in high wind seem to improve even more.

Just ran across this awesome frame. It's not often we see such a unique design like this, specially with the market flooded with over-priced plastic frames. If I was in the AP business, I'd definitely give this frame a try. Hope to see some user reports soon...
