Since I'm not trying out for the team, and since I'm not such a serious person , I took some video. Of course even if I was a serious person, which I'm not of course , I think I would have taken the video anyways just to help a friend out.

Something also tells me that there are probably a ton of very serious people out there who probably wouldn't even consider NOT video taping a known expert or rival. Something to do with being able dissect the process even more thoroughly over and over again at home. Kind of like watching p0rn.

Anyways, back on topic! Nice flying Sam and thanks a ton for the help with fine tuning the settings on my ESO. Best of luck Friday and Saturday!

Any time Sam. Yeah I was the first there today around 1:00pm and had the sky to myself for about 15min until others started to show up. I flew for another 15 then booked it back to the day job

I'll swing by tomorrow too probably just to check things out. Sunday I'm out as there's a birthday party I have to go to, but I appreciate the offer.

I always liked the raw pace the ceres has !
Looks like this one is well tuned, and the place your flying it at looks really nice too.

Landing zone is great, getting to it kinda challenging. Need to cross a 3 lane street, hop a fence and then a short walk up a decent hill. All while flying, but once you've done it like 10 times it's butter.

C of G at 108mm from leading edge. elevator has 5mm of travel from center in up or down travel. Ailerons are set to taste.

Do you recall where your snap flap setting end up at that CG?

Depending on conditions,
6mm of flap to 5mm of elevator or
5 with 6
I could run more but this set up is damn near flick proof.

For those that want to know,
-servo centering is good
-servo speed is good,I can't tell between the more expensive servo set up on my other Ceres
-I have about 4 hours of testing, living room flying and model set up
-1:30 hour actual air time in a different conditions and ballast, I've even had it where the model is at 110oz's and landed on a bush and flaps and ailerons are holding onto foliage an still holding trim input, buzzing (normal) but holding.
-these servos are thirsty, I do leave model on for extended periods.
-Model is flying great

about the KST, be very careful if they sart to get sloppy: on my predator it started to happen and the reason for it was the servo screws that started to unscrew. I guess the constant buzzing generates vibration that ends up like this. don't hesitate using Loctite before using the servos.
