Paypal or HK?

I have done at least 5 orders from HK and have spent at least $1,000.00+ with out any problems until now.

I placed the order on April 2nd for some Lipos from the US wearhouse just like before and used the paypal payment. Everything when like normal and comfirmed paymet to them. I really wanted the fast so I paid for 3 day shipping.

Viewing my account it shows unpaid. It has not changed in over a week now. I tried to contact them it evey way. Filed a claim using there support system and didn't get any replies so I went back to Paypal and open a dispute case. Once I did that I was replied to in the support centre request to close the paypal case so they could process my order. That was on the 5th from NikoSo...STILL NOTHING!!

I have done what they have asked. They have my money and I have not heard anything else from them. I really don't like the way they are handling this and others that have reported the same issue.

Any suggestion. I hope they will read this and understand the power of the fourms if they don't treat there customers fairly.

FWIW Jeff,
If I don't get a "paid" notice within 10 min, I cancel the order and try a different payment method.
The times it has happened to me it was because my virtual CC was not being accepted so I changed CC numbers and it worked.

I think it's a HK standard practice to stop all action on an order once a paypal dispute has been initiated. But I thought that you can cancel any order from the "Orders" page as long as payment has not been accepted. Check your orders page and bring that order up and see if you don't have that option (if the payment has not been accepted yet.)

I can appreciate your frustration with the Customer Support, it seems they are putting all their efforts into getting orders out the door and not on resolving problems with current orders.

I would like to cancel but I am afraid if I do that I will not get a refund. The payment has been made by paypal.

I Closed the disput just like they asked. They didn't tell me to cancel the order and that they would refund the monies to my paypal account. I really want to do business with them but I am finding it really hard when they want take the time to help us understand and fix the problem.

The HK game rules FWIW.
Canceled order monies are turned into credits - they can be used for hardware but not shipping. Even though part of the payment made was for shipping, it is now only good for hardware, shipping has to be paid via paypal/etc even if you have enough credits to cover it.

If requested at the time of cancellation, the monies will be returned to the method of payment. Just ask them to refund your money to PayPal or whatever source you used to pay for the items.

Does your Order showed paid yet?
I'd also look at your Paypal account and see if they show that a payment was made. In my case when I went to PayPal it showed that I had a CC problem and no money was transferred.

My order shows unpaid still. I used paypal and the bill me later. It showed completed payment to them when I made the payment. I open a disput at Paypal after they wouldn't respond to my request. 3 days later Nickso of HKCS replied on my open ticket that I submitted to HK

Here is his reply

"Hi Jeffrey ,

Thanks for contacting the HobbyKing Support Team.
Notice that the payment is at the paypal open case, as the fund is not at our side, please close the dispute and we will activate the order immediately.

proroc, contact PayPal by telephone and explain what happened, be sure to have your transaction number. Then send them an email explaining the situation and be sure to include the email asking you to close the dispute. Tell them you would like to re-open it only this time let PayPal handle it. You will get your money back but it may take a couple of weeks.

Only You (I remember that song) can close this thread. Go to your first post and select the close option.

And in the future, don't forget to check the paid status after ordering.....within an hour it should be paid, if not, something has glitched and it needs to be checked. Good luck and happy flying.
