I think the white would be a lot easier to paint over to customize the look.

I'd prefer the white...even though it will be constantly dirty, and the metal finish would look better. It just seems like metal applied over plastic almost always peels away after a year or so, and it ends up looking far worse in the end.

Plus, I like the idea of painting a white TX any color I want. There could be some neat possibilities!

i hate to see so many corners in the radio, the dust will flow over all the gaps and its going to be difficult to keep it clean over time,

multiplex looks a bit more wise, cockpit mm, sx, royal evo... all quite flat surfaces

Another thought I had after looking at that picture of the white 9xr...

That front white "face plate" looks like it's held on by 8 torx head screws, and the actual white plastic piece is small. Perhaps they plan on releasing a whole range of face plates with various colors/designs? It would certainly play to the crowd who likes to customize their 9x radios.

On most radios, screws placed there are usually holding the gimbals to the faceplate.

I like that idea if it's possible. I'd hydro-dip that faceplate with a carbon fiber pattern.

I was thinking the hydro-dip route too. Ever wanted a wooden TX? Maybe even some real-tree camo, so you could set it on the ground and never find it again!

OK, I'm sold on the white now. We can all customize out Tx's. Lots of colors will look cool. A dark pearl red could look nice too.

But who knows. It is easy to change plastic color. They might decide to keep things consistent and mold it in transparent orange. HORROR...
I'm hoping for a nice brown to match my Zune.
