OK. So what's the point? So were you directing that at anyone (or any topic) in particular? Sorry, don't get the "unemployed Swiss" reference.

No it doesn't. Will come with a DSM2/DSMX module and there should be FrSky and UHF modules coming out as well but will have to replace the DSMX module to put one of them in.

It is guaranteed to have a JR style module spot and come with DSM2/DSMX but nowhere have I seen an article (other than some musings on RCGroups) about whether the DSM module is external or interal.

Well that's wrong. Anthony Hand himself said:

the 9XR has an inbuilt antenna and comes with a DSMX/DSM2 module which uses the inbuilt antenna. You can also plug your own JR module in and use an external antenna.
We have given the 3D files of the module antenna system to some vendors like ImmersionRC so they can make modules for the radio 433Mhz etc.

Yes, you misread about Frsky and UHF, these are pluggable options in the module bay, if any.

Yes it may have an intenal antenna but that does not mean the DSM module is permanent. It can still use the intenal antenna if it is removable but I do hope they do it better than the 9x.

If you read the quote above your post, Anthony Hand himself said the module bay is JR style compatible.

The DSM module is not permanent. That's the whole point of being modular. It is not "inbuilt" and can be swapped for other modules.

They have several times said that the radio will have an internal radio module AND a module bay for other radio systems. The internal radio will likely be disabled by the insertion of a radio module.

No! It comes with a DSM module that uses the inbuilt antenna. If you have any evidence otherwise please post a link to it as what I posted was a direct quote from the owner of Hobbyking who is paying for its development.

You are right and I was wrong. I based my post on older information than is now available. Here is a link to the module design for 9XR

Questionable design...
So this module will be dedicated for 9XR, can't be used in other radios ...
