It sure is a lot prettier that the 9XR but the only question is, can it run ER9X firmware. That is the only reason I want a 9x.

The 9XR will come with a DSM module, but I do not know if it is external or internal with a external spot for other brands.

I upgraded my 9x radio using er9x and added black light.
Then, is there any reasons to consider turnigy 9XR for me except DSM2/DSMx?

If my understanding is right, I do not need to buy turnigy 9XR, right?

frsky is often mistyped as flysky and versa visa but ive never seen "frysky". anyway i suspect kilrah is wrong and when sean typed frsky he meant frsky. not an error. it would make no sense to replace a flysky module with a flysky module.

What I mean is that when some type "frysky" they usually mean frsky. I've seen it many times.

oops... i see now that is what you meant. anyway im glad i never used flysky in place of frsky 15-20 times. (right!) btw am i the only one that knows about the "frysky" 99x which recognises both accst and afhds protocol? lol!

anyway im thinking this 9xr with a flysky module is a much better idea than those devo hacks which makes little sense economically. specially silly are those calling it a "universal radio" which is just a joke.

That's because in Japan such device is called a "frisk box"

this is not a joke. frsky actually did use the name frisky for the first 18 months til somebody put a bug in their ear.

I am with them since spring 2010, and never get from them any material with this name or logo. In May 2010 I have first invoice from them, with the actual logo, name and address.

18 Months since when ? First posts here about V8 non telemetry system are from Australia, fall 2009.

what would be the point of photoshopping that?. but maybe Daedalus66 and chase wu (or whoever was logged in as eva) that day are making up stories. i also heard the same thing from a non-rcg member a couple years ago.

btw there was life before rcg.
