Yep.
But is the connector on the board a balance connector?
Then I could simply buy a balance cable, route it through the ratchet, crimp some wire-end sleeves on it, and solder it where that white plastic solder connector is now.

I can't quite see if both ends of that cable are plugs. If they are both removable without soldering, a simple balance extension cable would be the solution.

However, when taking a really close look...
Extension cables from Spektrum Satellite RXes come to mind...

anyone know of a way to Mount the Quanum telemetry to the big handle?

Okay, that's pretty scary. I'm glad that I didn't order a 9XR from the first batch. As others have said, I'm going to take a wait and see attitude until they not only get the bugs worked out but also have modules that work with the internal antenna. ONLY after those things are done will I consider purchasing a 9XR.

Meanwhile, I'll continue to fly what I have with my current radio system.

Unfortunately, I think we have to open and inspect all these radios. I was in denial until I had a failure. I don't expect someone who is making 10 cents an hour to give a hoot about my model. It's really amazing how cheap they can sell this stuff for, even with our increasingly worthless dollar (but that's another topic). But at least companies like Spektrum, Futaba, Airtronics, even though they use the same factories, spend a little more and excercise a little more quality control because they HAVE TOO. They have a reputation to uphold. Otherwise, why would we spend hundreds of dollars on their radios? With these cheap brands, all they have to do is be cheap. Failures will not hurt sales when you are the cheapest.

Is anyone able to get a hold of one of these so called 9XR "creators"? I know it's hobbyking and a cheap radio, but it would be really nice if they gave us some info on the upcoming modules. The flitetest people seem to be the closest link to hobbyking that actually respond to our questions so I'll ask on their website.

Both ends are not plugs. Only one side is, the other ends are soldered.

The creators are Athony Hand (owner of HK, Aussie and bald), Byron (HK product specialist and test flyer, skinny), another HK product specialist and test flyer (forgot his name, chubby) and a random electrical engineer who never has been on HK camera before (short and Asian).

That may not be true. There is a good chance FlySky is the actual manufacturer. That would make more sense. The attachment in this post was originally posted by another member earlier.
