Maybe good for attaching UHF system or some kind of rest, etc!??
Could also be for mounting an external telemetry screen...

Putting the telemetry screen on the back of the TX wouldn't be any good to me

I mean attaching some kind of mount for it. Even hobbyking would know that having a screen on the back isn't ideal.

The holes could be for an optional bracket to protect modules that have the antenna coming out of the back of module.

Say has anyone flashed their new transmitter with the latest e9rx firmware yet?

Any new close up pictures of the insides?

Frsky's telemetry mount looks like it is for a metal handle.

Maybe a metal bracket/handle will be an option?

Apparently there is no way to flash the original 9XR firmware back onto the radio if you change your mind, its been said that the changes HK made mean that neither companion9x or eepe will work with the 9XR firmware.

Quote:
BTW, neither companion9x, nor current version of eepe at the moment support 9xr firmware, as the eeprom structure has been changed.
So unless HK forks also a version of eepe computer programming support is not existent.
I haven't opened mine up yet, still not sure if I'd rather stick it on ebay & wait for the X9D instead.

I hope this is not true.

Of course there is, just reflash the firmware they supplied in their source package.

Huh? You mean it won't allow you select the .hex file? I wonder if the radio can be downloaded and saved out or is that non functional too?

Maybe my new 9xr is head to ebay too. Devo transmitter is looking better and better since they have hacked it.

I'm just going by what's being said on the 9XR forum.

Any AVR burning software that supports the programmer you have... You can of course also use eepe/c9x, what they might not let you do is allow you to see/edit the radio settings, but read/write flash and eeprom to/from file will work on anything.

You're quoting someone who answered a question he didn't understand in the first place

Has anyone here actually confirmed whether or not the gimbals are improved in any way? My only complaint with my 9X has been with the stock gimbals.
