Mostly assembled setup pictures. I still need some new posts for the top plate, but you can get the general feel for how the frame looks assembled. Sorry for it being dark; my DSLR was out of batteries and the flash on my phone sucks.

There are 9050 3 blade props installed, so you can get a sense of scale.

MY frame arrived today. Pieces appear to be finished cleaner than pics on previous page. Still at work so nothing more to report.

Hey Guys I have received mine and very cool it is... but a few things have cropped up and honestly it will be a very long time before I can get it set up.... so if anyone wants mine I'd sell it. I have the light weight version.

One more photo. Just took it out for a small flight. It flies well! Still trying to get the CG dialed in as well as multiwii PID. The Gopro is VERY far forward and I need to compensate with more weight, so I'm running 2 2.2mAh batteries (Not pictured). This puts the CG about an inch in front of the FC.

Looking good. Did you record any video in the flight and if you did how was it?

No, that will be today if all goes well. This was more of a 'lets see if it gets off the ground and I remembered to bolt everything together' kind of flight. I did some more tinkering on it last night and will try to take it out today for a full flight. I'll get flight times with 1 and 2 batteries (Made a y connector out of deans plugs as well). I'm using 2212 930KV rctimer motors with 20 amp ESC's. This gear used to be on another spider quad and it would get about 4:30 minutes out of a single 2.2mAh battery full loaded.

I had one of the clamps strip on me while tightening it. The nuts in the plastic arm clamps are made of aluminum so be careful not to over tighten them.

Also, the kit comes with 4 plates that look like they are means to be mounted underneath the motor mounts. You can see them in the last picture I posted. Note quite sure what they are for, but I mounted them underneath the mount in hopes to reinforce the ABS plastic mounts in case of a hard landing. Also, I installed the landing gear but not the tubes running between them in order to save weight, and also because the tubes were not included in the kit.

My frame Showed up yesterday morning when I was going to work. Everything looks good. Looking foward to build it and fly it. Machina let us know and post video please.

I have a heavy duty frame I'll sell for the same price as the discount. Good design but I was hoping for a little better fit and finish. My time is more valuable so I'll get something a little more turn key for a fun flyer.

Anyone get their's flying?

I got mine very breifly to fly fully loaded, but didn't tighten one of the motor mounts enough and it popped off after I got a few foot off the ground. Without the uber tiny allen head for the mount I was stuck flying my little quad and leaving the spider to sit.

I'm using 930KV motors from RCtimer, and had to order larger props. The 9X5X3 were just too small for the torquey motor. I have 10X4.7 props on the motors currently with plans to buy 11X4.7 if needed. Bearing in mind I'm flying with two 2.2mAh batteries on board in order to get the CG moved closer to the FC. Has anyone been successful in getting the CG placed at the FC while the go pro is onboard?

Built mine yesterday and working on a video I will post. It's flying nice with the Naza have to still make some adjustment's but I'm happy. I ended up drilling the 2 holes on the motor mount and putting the screws through the boom and then used the smaller screws for the side. I'm using NTM 2830's and they are very smooth with 18amp RC timer esc flashed with Simons code. Will post back in a bit with the video.

Started building my HD frame today. Very impressive engineering and great quality are evident on this quad. I love it so far. Just starting to solder esc's to power distribution board. Going to put a Rabbit board on it and looking for some gear to use. Will post pics.
